The leadership of YIAGA AFRICA today received their counter part organisation the NOT TOO YOUNG TO LEAD in their contential headquarters in Abuja Nigeria earlier today .
While receiving the NOT TOO YOUNG TO LEAD, Mr Samson Itodo expressed satisfaction on the activities of the group, he commending them for taking initiative in strengthening the advancement of democratic tenets in the polity of Nigeria and the South-South in particular, he further urged the group to brace up in raising a generation of youths who are ready to read, teach and speak on the grey areas of our electoral laws that will open the political space for young people with content, character and capacity to give a robust representation to Africans.
He also emphasized that the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN is an idea that will remain in the political and public domain till African Leaders harness the intellectual, agility and digital skills of this generation.
In response the convener Elvis Akpobi Majority accompanied by co-covener D Custodian Israel Ushi Israel thanked YIAGA AFRICA and the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN leadership for a warm reception, pointing out how the group have awaken the consciousness of political leaders in Delta and southern states on the importance of bringing in young minds with initiatives that will impact our economy, Using Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as a thermometer for measuring youth friendliness via his engagement of young minds in political offices sequel to the past four years and his promise to bring on board more young persons with Content to achieve a dream of a Stronger Delta.
The meeting ended with a agreement by both body to form a strong and working alliance ahead of the 2023 Nigeria general polls .
