The old woman who was knocked down by a hit-and-run vehicle along New Ogorode road by Lexi junction, penultimate week, has gotten a reprieve from the Executive Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon.(Chief) Eugene Inoaghan.
Hon.(Chief) Inoaghan, who was accompanied by the Divisional Police Officer, Sapele Police Station, Mr Akande Abubakar Aliyu, met the old woman at the female ward where she was receiving treatment.
You will recall that on Friday the 19th of October 2019, there was a report that this old woman who was knocked down by the hit-and-run driver was rescued by a good Samaritan, Mr Bojo Sagay, and subsequently taken to the Sapele Central Hospital.
Mr Alex, the doctor who has been attending to her since she was rushed to the hospital, expressed excitement meeting the Chairman and the Divisional Police Officer for the first time and used the opportunity to commend him for instituting visible laudable developmental achievements within Sapele. He also thanked the Chairman for his cash donation to offset her medical bills, and gave him an update of her health status and the recommended tests and scan that will enable him perfect her treatment in the coming weeks.
Also with the Chairman during the visit are: Mr Blessing Abule, Secretary Sapele LGA, Rt. Hon. Felix Ayemidejor, immediate past Leader, Sapele Legislatives Arm and presently, Special Assistant to the Chairman, Hon. Tajeru Moses, Supervisory Councilor for Health, Mr Ossy Omolua, Special Assistant on Security, amongst others.
Sapele is indeed in safe hands
