Youth Development: Osanebi to be honored by the University of Benin.
Former Deputy Speaker and member representing Ndokwa East State constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, has been nominated for the 2019 UNIBEN most prestigious Youth and Sports award, during the school’s 2019 convocation, next month.
Osanebi is been honored for his unalloyed dedication to the empowerment and development of students and youths in various spheres of human endeavors, and his uncommon philanthropic gestures.
According to Baye Osagie Sylvester, University Public Relation officer, “Osanebi and other deserving Nigerians will be honored as the University of Benin stage her Annual Sports merit award to deserving Sports men and Women come Saturday 23rd of November 2019”.
Last year the Award attracted the Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Melvin pinnick, the Former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, RT. Hon Victor Ochei, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comr. Philip Shaibu, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, and a host of others.
Osanebi who was overwhelmingly nominated by students and University authority will be eagerly received as a result of his popularity and acceptability that necessitated his unanimous nomination for the varsity’s annual award to deserving Nigerians.
Unlike most previous recipients, that were mostly graduates of the University, Osanebi is an Engineering graduate of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu ( ESUT). Diligence and sacrifice have indeed distinguished the law maker, who is popularly called, “The Empowerment Master”.
Other Nigerians expected to be honored alongside Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, are: Hon. Habu Gumel, President Nigeria Olympics Committee; Prince Harrison Ehimiyan, Board Chairman, Prince Harrison Ehimiyan Foundation and Mr Jimmy Dickson Osayame, CEO Sidons Sports.
