..May support Edevbie if he decides to contest for 2023.
Ughelli/Nigeria.
Foremost philanthropist and petroleum/gas expert, Comr. Andrew Evbie have joined the queue for those clamouring and appealing for the next governor of the state to emerge from delta central senatorial district.
Evbie who made his stand known while speaking to journalist at the sidelines of the burial of Engr. Okpako Edevbie, father of the chief of staff government house, Olorogun David Edevbie, added that although there's no legal framework backing the zoning principle, but everyone knows there's is a gentleman agreement in place.
Evbie pointed out the fact that, from our return to democracy in 1999, James Ibori (delta central) emerged as the governor, and then Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta South) followed, with His excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa (delta north) completing the zoning arrangement, it's only fair that the people of delta central gets to produce the next governor after the S.M.A.R.T government of Okowa.
He noted that although there are eminent deltans from the other senatorial districts whom possess the steering qualities needed to occupy the Denis Osadebey house but for equity and fairness, they should all support delta central this time around.
Evbie while commending the Okowa led government for the giant stride and massive infrastructural development the state is currently witnessing, declared his intention to continually partner and support the policies of this government.
Recall, Evbie Andrew, the philanthropist par excellence, who is a native of Ogbovwan recently donated a water scheme to his community, gave out scholarships and also carried out a three day free medical care all in support of the Okowa S.M.A.R.T AGENDA.
Rounding up, he stated that should the chief of staff, Olorogun David Edevbie, who is his leader decide to throw his hat in the ring for the governorship race, he is duty bound to give him 100 percent support, not only because they are from neighbouring communities but because he knows he will be a fine governor, one who will build on the legacies of the current government.
Evbie who alongside his key allies and partners, foremost Niger Delta youth leader Snr. Comr. Idi Presley and leading financial expert Newton Odjigbo were special guests at the event, stormed the arena with over 100 of his supporters and volunteers.
