… Expresses bitterness over the killing of two Innocent Umusadege youths by unknown gun men and calls on Commissioner of Police as a matter of urgency to investigate and bring the perpetuators to book.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi condoles with the families, Ndokwa Youths and Umusadege Community over the loss of two innocent youths who were murdered by some unknown gun men. He was so bittered when he got the news, and he has called on the Commissioner of Police and other security agencies to swing into actions and make sure the killers will go unpunished and brought to book.
In a statement, Ezechi who condemned the ugly incident perpetuated by these unknown gun men has assured the youths of Ndokwa Nation and Umusadege Community that he will work hand in hand with the government and the security agencies in making sure the killers of these innocent youths will be brought to book and as such they will not go freely. He further thanked the family and the host communities for allowing peace and law to take is cause. He also plead with them to remain peaceful that in no distance time, the killers will be exposed and the law will uphold them.
Also speaking, Ezechi has called on the Commissioner of Police, Delta State and other security agencies to swing into actions to make sure the perpetrator that did this ungodly act be brought to book. He also call on the youths to remain calm and peaceful and join the State Government to make sure there is peace in their domain, calling on the oil company to cooperate with the host communities as regard lingering issues.
Ezechi calls on the oil companies to live up to expectations by abiding by the MOU signed with the host communities. He also warned oil multinational companies not to jeopardize the peaceful environment provided by the state government and that Ndokwa Nation is the most peaceful ethnic nationality in the Niger Delta and as such the peaceful disposal of Ndokwa Nation should not be taken for granted.
Ezechi calls on all other stakeholders to join hands with youths of Ndokwa Nation, in attracting the needed development and advice the oil companies to do the needful. Ezechi frowned at the killing of two innocent youths and condemn the act in totality for killing a hard working graduate who decided to work as security but was innocently murdered by hoodlums who God will definitely expose.
Ezechi calls on the Commissioner of Oil and Gas, to organize a joint session of all the oil companies in Delta State and the leadership of the host communities for a retreat to foster more cordial working relationship.
Ezechi who spoke with the newsmen said "I call on Ndokwa youths and Delta State youths at large to continue living in peace and also key into the Stronger Delta mantra of His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and his led Administration. There is no meaningful development that will come without peace". I therefore enjoin them to remain peaceful as the right of the community will not be short changed by the oil companies.
