Don't Support Domestic Violence-- Genevieve Mordi To Nigerians
The Senior Special Assistant on International Affairs and Special Duties to Delta State Governor and member of the 17-man Task Force to check human trafficking and irregular migration in the state Dr Genevieve Mordi has called on Nigerians to end domestic violence .
According to Dr Genevieve Mordi who make this known at Asaba, the rate of Domestic violence is on the high side.
"Domestic violence is happening everyday around us and can happen to anyone regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender.
It is time we speak against Domestic violence as a people.
Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions or threats.
Our people need to watch out for any kind of Domestic violence happening around us.
Domestic violence not only affects those who are abused, but also has a substantial effect on family members, friends, co-workers, other witnesses, and the community at large" she said while calling on Nigerians to report any case of Domestic violence to the appropriate authorities.
