Omoyibo To Chair Entrepreneurship/Skill Awareness Campaign At Delta Poly Ozoro Feb, 26th.
A philanthropist cum Entrepreneur Engr. Daniel Omoyibo, CEO DAMOTECH Nig Ltd will on Wednesday Feb 26th 2020 chairman the most anticipated Entrepreneurship Awareness program tagged: "EVEN A PROFESSOR NEEDS A SKILL" at the Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro.
The Entrepreneurship/Skill Awareness Campaign which is being organised by the DELTA State Governor’s Aides On Students Affairs and Special Duties Media, Comr Okoh Ezekiel Oghenetega and Amb Ossai Ovie Success is bidded to hold in every tertiary institutions in the year 2020 .
The Delta State Governor Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is expected to declare the program open at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, on the 26th of February, 2020 with two notable speakers , Engr Dr. Hillary Ijeoma Owamah( Associate Professor and Acting Head of Department Civil Engineering, Delsu) As 1st Speaker, Sir Ikechukwu Oyeka, Chief Responsibility Officer, Ingathering and Youth Foundation, As 2nd Speaker.
According to the Governor's Aides preparations to host the Entrepreneurship Awareness programme is on top gear, and is coming on the heels of the successes already recorded in the previous Editions.
"The need to have an Entrepreneural skill became so important as to the survival of our dear nation. Economically, development comes with the high presence of Human Capital Development in every society, which development of Man is part of it.
Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa recognise these facts early enough, that was why, a week after he was sworn into office May 29th, 2015 he established the Job Creation Office as a palliative measure to contribute to the Human Capital Development and to reduce the problem of unemployment in the State.
This abnormally as it may, arouse the interest of the duo to consolidate further on the effort of the Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa to create Jobs for the good people of Delta State. "
"The importance of this Entrepreneurship awareness gospel program cannot be over emphasize, as its important is not limited to students studying Health Science Mathematics, Management Sciences, Education as well as Social Sciences to mention but a few.
The sub- Theme of the program is tagged: “A PARADIGM SHIFT FROM CERTIFICATE TO SABIFICATE” to re-psyche and orient the students on the need to get a skill while in school. For example, many technicians earns more than some university graduates because of their practical skills learnt in their technical colleges, unlike the graduates who were fed with theoretical experiences while in the universities."
Its on the basis of the above tragedy and in a bid to curb Social Menace which is usually the fall-out of a crowded unemployed society, that the we the Special Assistant on Students Affairs Comr Okoh Ezekiel Oghenetega Oghenetega and Special duties (Media) Comr Ossai Ovie Success have decided to take the Okowa’s SMART Agenda of Job Creation to the Students.
