The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Political Matters and Chieftain of PDP Ward 8 in Ika South local government area, Rotarian Peter Idion has congratulated Mr Jude Onya, the emergent Ika South Local Government Area (LGA) Chairman of our great party, the PDP.
Rotn Peter Idion made this statement in his Asaba residence today soon after the emergence of the political tactician, strategist and former State Youth Leader as the brand new Chairman of the ruling party in Ika South LGA.
Rotn Peter Idion, who was the convener of Bridge Builders, a socio-political association formed for the total actualisation of the victory, overall growth and progress of the People's Democratic Party and all her candidates in the recently conducted General elections in Ika South LGA, thanked Almighty God for the positive direction that He is taking the local government through the making of Mr Jude Onya as Chairman of PDP in Ika South LGA.
He explained that God, through this development, has finally heard the prayers of the good people of the local government area on the need to soften the ground and find a middle course for the settlement of the party leadership quagmire which has for some time now bedevilled the constituency and all her big political players.
He went further to expressly appreciate the very concerned role played by His Excellency, Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Governor of Delta State in finally bringing peace, stability and tranquility to the local government area through very many marathon meetings, prayers and deep consultative interactions with party elders, leaders, elected and appointed political office holders from the local government area before reaching the current position that Ika South LGA has happily found herself today.
Rotn Peter Idion did not forget to appreciate the outgoing party helmsman, Hon Collins Ewere Bello, for the efforts that he put into play while his era as LGA Chairman lasted. Mr Idion was quick to recall the warm and healthy interpersonal relationship that existed between Hon Bello, Hon Sunny Ogwu, Mr Jude Onya the new Chairman and himself stating that he strongly believe that the rich political experience of Hon Collins Bello, who has now been graciously moved to the State level, will be taken into cognisance by the new party Chairman in the discharge of his assigned duties.
Rotarian Peter Idion also was full of praise for Hon Festus Chukwuyem Okoh, member representing Ika South constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly and Barr Chiedu Ebie, Esq, who in his capacity as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), for their efforts in seeing to the emergence of everlasting peace in Ika South PDP.
He opined that he is now very hopeful that the elders and leaders of the Party in Ika South chapter of the People's Democratic Party are now happy and are ready to activate political strategies in synergy with the new Chairman and his executive officers to find and work out appropriate ways and means for the Party to bounce back on a platter of sound operational health where all members across the local government as one family will happily participate in democratic partisan activity in a bid to essentially move the local government area forward and to the next level.
He finally appeal to all party faithfuls to support the brand New Chairman and the man to represent us in the State Party Executive committee.
