There is heavy jubiliation in Benin, the Edo State capital as Governor Godwin Obaseki has finally joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the State Governorship election.
Truth Reporters gathered that Obaseki was recieved at the PDP State Secretariat in Benin.
He has since been declared the leader or the party in Edo and urged to protect the constitution of the party in the state.
Governor Obaseki is seeking re-election on the platform of the party having been disqualified earlier by his former party the All Progressives Congress (APC).
