General Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta state Governor On Peace Building and Intelligence Gathering has given His major reason for Joining the Chairmanship race in Ethiope East.
According to Him, Ethiope East can do better among the League of Local Governments even in the face of Scarce resources. He stated that the ability to manage scarce resources is what makes a sound Leader. He noted that Amongst other things, the youths can be well engaged, with women/aged welfare as top priority while ensuring workers salaries are duly paid.

“I am fully motivated to create a better Ethiope East, it is a vision I am fully convinced about, there has been an old notion that there is no Money at the council so there is little the council chairman can do, by the grace of God we will break that Jinx and do something out of scarce resources, it is achievable, it is the pride of sound Leadership.
 I have a track record of Maximizing potentials even as a Senior Special Assistant to the Delta state Governor, doing so at the council won’t be a difficult task. Amongst other things that is paramount is to ensure that our youths are properly oriented and well engaged, With special welfare package for our women and aged mothers.
On salaries of Staffs, I have always believed that every workman deserves His wages, as a result workers would get their pay as at when due, I intend to create a robust relationship with the council staffs and give them a sense of Belonging knowing that it is with their full support and collaboration that the vision of a Better Ethiope East can be achieved.” The People’s General stated.

He further added that Road repairs and other infrastructural Development will take a new dimension if granted the opportunity to serve.
