The Leadership of the people’s Democratic Party in Ethiope East, has described General Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe as a Dedicated party man, one who has been a worthy ambassador of the party in the Local Government and Beyond.
The party Chairman in Ethiope East, Hon. Felix Erhimedafe who spoke in Eku at the official Declaration of Ogedegbe’s intention to contest as Executive Chairman of the Local Government, extolled Ogedegbe’s pedigree in the Area of Empowerment, Philanthropy and women Development. He appreciated His role in distributing food items and other palliatives to the aged/vulnerable during the Lockdown noting that His Magnanimity is very visible and laudable.
Hon. Erhimedafe also noted that Ogedegbe’s Empowerment and political Orientation has attracted a lot of people to the People’s Democratic Party in the Local Government and Has in no small measures boosted results of the party both in His Unit, ward and Local Government at Large especially during key Elections.
“I first of all want to commend you General Ogedegbe for the role you played during the Lockdown, your palliatives got to almost every doorstep in Ethiope East and we as a party are very proud of that gesture of yours, you have proven yourself in so many areas as a Dedicated party Man, you have always made sure our party gained victory in every Election especially from your Unit, since my inception as chairman of the party, you have never lost your Unit in any Election, it shows how much your people Love you and how committed you are to our party. I appreciate the fact that you are Declaring for chairmanship today, it is a Bold step, we as a party will go back to the drawing Board and check your track records and that of other aspirants in the race to see who is more Formidable to lead our Local Government to the Next level. I pray Earnestly that the odds fall in your Favour.” Hon. Felix Added.
He Equally admonished aspirants to shun campaign of Bitterness that has tendencies to tear down the Party, He urged all Media Aides of the aspirants to sell their principals in the best way they can and not try to bring down other aspirants. He stressed that PDP is one big United Family and will not tolerate anyone who tries to sow seeds of Discord or whose activities are inimical to the ethics of the party which has earned Her a place as the Biggest and most peaceful party in Africa.
