Education: School Owners in Nigeria honour Osanebi.
For his huge investment in the Nigerian educational sector, and unwavering commitment to human capital development; the Association of Private School Owners of Nigeria ( APSON) yesterday in Warri, honoured Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, member representing Ndokwa East State constituency in the Delta State House of Asaba.
The association commended the former Deputy Speaker for his uncommon human capital development drives, noting that the law maker has distinguished himself in this regard and hence worthy of commendation and recognition.
The award cum honour was conferred on The Empowerment Master by APSON national president, Bishop Dr. G E Opukeme, on behalf of the association.
Osanebi over the years has practically invested fortunes into human capital development and the education of the weak and downtrodden in the society, especially indigent and intelligent students.
Osanebi and his foundation has varieties of scholarship schemes, targeted at students at various levels of academic pursuit wherein he finances their academic programs, by paying tuition fees, get them academic materials for the students ; and in other categories he takes up the payment of fees for students in order to ameliorate financial stress on parents, always occasioned by huge financial demands, especially at the beginning of new academic sessions.
For him, this award and others always embolden to do more in order to reach out to many more.Osanebi will be honoured again in UNIBEN on Monday, for same purpose and sports development as well.
Also honoured yesterday was Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovwori, Rt. Hon. Chief Rolland Benson Ibakpa, Member, Fedral House of representatives, Delta State SSG, Chiedu Ebie, DESOPADEC Managing Director, Chief Askia Ogieh and host of others.
