OGUME CLAN PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO BARR. LEONARD ANOKA

OGUME CLAN PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO BARR. LEONARD ANOKA

The people of Ogume, fully represented by the seven Communities of the Clan and led by the Onotu Uku; Chief Andrew Nmor, today, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Director, Social Services, Barr. Leonard Anoka, in appreciation for all he has been doing for the people of the community.

Chief Ojodume Ogeleka, who spoke on behalf of the group, appreciated the Executive Governor of the State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for finding their illustrious son and brother worthy of being not just a DESOPADEC Board Member but an Executive Director.

He stated that with his appointment, the Governor has just succeeded in wiping out their tears over many years of Ogume staying in the political wilderness in Ndokwa Nation and Ndokwa West in particular.

Responding, Barr. Anoka thanked his kinsmen for their kind gesture and show of love towards him and assured them that he would ensure that the promise the Governor made to him to electrify all the communities in Ogume Clan would be actualized soon.

He equally told them that the Ogume general Town Hall would be reconstructed for the entire Ogume clan, while every one of the seven Community would each have their own projects completed, before the end of his tenure.

He further appealed to the delegation to be patient with his empowerment programmes, as according to him, not everyone will get empowerment at the same time, but he promised that they would in batches, be remembered in the small scale empowerment projects that would come up, from time to time.

The Executive Director, Projects, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, who was also present with the Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Comr. Shedrack Agediga, during the visit, thanked the people of Ogume for giving the Commission such a wonderful  son who he and his colleagues on the Board were proud of.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a picture frame of Barr. Leonard Anoka, by the group.
